Photo-Shrink reduces the filesize of photos.
When sharing photos on the Internet, it’s often a good idea to reduce the filesize. This is especially true when attempting to email them, and especially from travel locations that have lousy Internet speed.
Photo-Shrink comes with a preset list of filesize targets. It chooses an image resolution based on the filesize that gives a good tradeoff between resolution and image quality. Or you can choose the resolution yourself, too. Photo-Shrink also removes the entire EXIF header and any other metadata in the image, leaving a pure JPEG.
Photo-Shrink is a GUI on top of the excellent ImageMagick. As such, it should be able to generate JPEGs of all sorts of other image-like data, such as PDFs. Try it and see what works!
